Why we don’t sell fans but solutions
We work side-by-side with owners and managers on dairy farms to identify what’s not working and find ventilations solutions that meet their dairy management goals. Let’s take a look at how this breaks down pragmatically.
A joint venture means working towards a common goal.
From herd to farm to people management, as a dairy farmer you navigate challenges daily. That’s why we believe there is no better approach to today’s fast paced environment than the famous saying “two heads are better than one.” When it comes to ventilation, we place collaboration at the heartbeat of our business.
The perfect fit: our complete management system.
Our way of working with you means offering a complete ventilation management system. From the first contact through to the final sales, and afterwards, our goal is to ensure the health and safety of your heard. We do this by proposing plans, procedures and processes to help you in your day-to-day operations.
Our golden rule: check, please.
Yes, we’re going to start by checking you out with an on sight visit. This first step is essential because there is no one perfect ventilation design considering the wide variety of dairy barns. You may already have in mind a particular system such as natural, cross, tunnel, hybrid, or positive pressure delivery systems. Whatever you’re interested in, we’ll look at some of the following criteria:
- Is this a new project or an existing barn that needs to be retro-fitted?
- What are the dimensions of the barn?
- How are your cows behaving?
- What’s the target air speed in the cow’s resting area?
- What’s the best way to achieve adequate ventilation rates year-round?
- How many seasons and low and high ventilation rates must be considered?
- What building components in the barn have an influence on airflow?
- What’s the size of your herd?
Once your building and animal needs are known we’ll have a good idea of what sort of system you may need, but first we take all information to our engineers. Their job is to test our info and be sure our design criteria will be a success for your cows and for you as a dairy producer.
We’ll come back to you with a process plan, which includes a simulation of CFM or air flow measurement to improve ventilation efficiency and to optimize operating costs.
Costs can have a field day with your bottom line.
We know farmers all over the world need to be more cost effective, which is why our complete management package helps solve the challenge of reducing operating costs by providing guidelines, procedures, work instructions and directives.
This means your ventilation system will come with guidance on installation, the tools you’ll need and the modifications you’ll have to carry out.
We also provide guidelines for applying your own audit, verification and correction processes to ensure the ventilation system is working within compliance standards. This means you’ll be able to carry out detailed inspections of all components and appliances of your system to maintain peak performance and cost effectiveness.
A very agreeable agreement plan.
Solid good customer service goes beyond sales. At Ventec, we don’t think of ourselves as a company that sells products but people who cultivate relationships. We want to know you’re valued as a customer and consider a sale the beginning of a partnership.
Of course, even with careful planning and maintenance, situations can always occur. That’s why we devised an agreement plan that takes into account your needs. We’re here for you with robust after sales backing, so you don’t fall by the wayside due to unexpected repair costs.
